Catamounts Headed Back to NCAA Tournament  |
For the second time in UVM history, both the men’s and women’s basketball teams won the America East Championship to advance to the 2023 NCAA Tournament. The women’s team, on a 17-game winning streak, held UAlbany to 36 points for their seventh America East Championship in program history. The men’s team defeated UMass Lowell 72–59 to claim their second straight America East title and their 10th conference title in the last 20 seasons. Stay tuned as our student-athletes head into March Madness. The men will play Friday at 2:45 p.m. on CBS and the women will play Saturday at 3 p.m. on ABC.   |

This workshop supports first-year faculty members in developing a successful student academic advising practice. Panelists will share advising strategies that have worked for them, address different approaches for undergraduate and graduate students, and offer recommendations for effective thesis and dissertation advising. | Know Safe Use of Li-Ion and LiPo Batteries |
It’s time to review the Campus Safety Advisory on the safe use, storage, and disposal of lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries that commonly power hoverboards, e-bikes and e-scooters, and other personal devices. This type of battery has been linked to serious fires in the past year. Being familiar with best safety practices can help prevent losses and injuries involving these batteries. |
