Academic Interests
My research focuses on understanding Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) oncogenesis in B-cell lymphomas using genomic and epigenetic methods. I am interested in the differences and similarities EBV plays in B-cell lymphomas arising in global patient populations, with a particular interest in Sub-Saharan Africa. My overall goal is to develop an independently-funded research program identifying novel diagnostics, prognostics, and targeted therapeutic options in EBV-related B-cell lymphomas. I am a clinical pathologist with subspecialty training in Hematopathology and Cytopathology. My clinical work entails diagnosis of hematolymphoid disease and neoplasm from patient tissue samples.
