    Core Clinical Member
    Academic Interests
I hold the TDT leadership position for Upper GI and Liver Tumor Boards. This transdisciplinary effort shores up our clinical effort and seeks academic partnerships across the university and national trial participation. I have ongoing funded support through the Buffum foundation evaluating the role of nutritional prehabilitation for patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers.

I have ongoing mentorship in cancer related research for the cancer center including: local clinical outcomes research with cancer center student research awards providing stipends for my student investigators; surgical research fellows who will perform basic science and clinical science research for our center with Dept. of Surgery funding; and large database grants (non-funded) for large data analysis. I have secured funding for our first network wide cancer outcomes registry, set to begin this summer.

Though not yet successfully funded, I have several ongoing attempts to secure private sponsorship for translational research.
