Academic Interests
Dr. Gell's research has the broad aim of supporting healthy aging for people living with and beyond cancer with a particular focus on environmental and technological influences on physical activity. The breadth of her scholarship activity is a reflection of more than 25 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist in addition to education and training in public health and exercise science. Dr. Gell's current research agenda includes testing remotely delivered exercise for older, rural cancer survivors and characterizing physical function impairment in older cancer survivors.
