Academic Interests
I am a faculty scientist in Yvonne Janssen-Heininger's lab. We recently received an R01 funding from the NCI based on my work. In the last 3 years, my project in the lab has been focused on understanding redox perturbations in cancer cells. I discovered a new mechanism by which cancer cells that highly express SLC7A11, the active subunit of system xc- transporter, increase their glutathione content to resist chemotherapy. My work has recently been accepted as a publication in Science Advances.
Other Titles, Distinctions and Appointments
I received the Parker B Francis fellowship award in 2025
