    Academic Interests
    Trishnee Bhurosy, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition at the University of Vermont. She is a behavioral scientist with a research focus on improving nutrition equity and food security by addressing the behavioral and social determinants of nutrition behaviors underlying chronic conditions such as cancer. She has specific interests in better understanding how mobile technology and the active engagement of community stakeholders can be leveraged to improve the nutrition of vulnerable communities, including cancer patients and survivors. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as BMC Cancer, Annals of Surgical Oncology, Cancer Causes & Control, Preventive Medicine Reports, and the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior. She has received funding from the Women and Hi-Tech Organization and the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research.

    National Cancer Institute Early Investigator Advancement Program - EIAP is a trans-NCI program that aims to assist cancer researchers and clinician scientists in attaining an R01 or R-type equivalent funding.

    National Institutes of Health Early Career Reviewer Program - The program aims to help early career scientists become more competitive as grant applicants through first-hand experience with peer review.

    North Star Collective Faculty Fellowship - The North Star Collective Fellowship is a semester-long fellowship (running from January to May) created by and for BIPOC faculty in New England. Grounded in the tenets of reparative justice, the fellowship promotes racial trauma healing by providing a nourishing community of care, mentorship, and professional development for BIPOC faculty in all fields.

    Resilient, Equitable, and Circular Innovations with Partnership and Education Synergies (RECIPES) Fellow - The fellowship creates opportunities for early-career faculty to engage in projects that drive meaningful change in food systems, sustainability, and waste reduction.
